One of the primary goals of St. Timothy's is to provide a worship environment which encourages a sense of the Lord's presence. We seek to provide opportunities for the expression of this sacred worship through a variety of means. The celebration of the Holy Eucharist, Wednesday evening study groups and special seminars, and mid-week services are but some of these opportunities.

Young persons who are interested in this ministry may begin receiving training to assist at the altar upon having reached 3rd or 4th grade. They serve first as torch bearers or crucifiers.

ALTAR GUILD: The beauty and majesty of the altar is enhanced by the diligent effort of the Altar Guild. The members of the guild ensure that the altar is prepared and the sanctuary is in order before and after each worship service. They iron the linens and supervise the decoration and appointment of the church. It is their responsibility to also prepare the church for any special services held throughout the year.

LAY-READERS/LECTORS: Our worship is a blend of talents and voices, Lay-readers/Lectors assist the priest in proclaiming God's Word to his people. Each week they read the Old Testament and New Testament lessons and lead the congregation in a response psalm. On occasion they will assist the priest in the reading of the Holy Gospel when a more dramatized reading is preferred. The reading of the Passion on Palm Sunday is the most appropriate time of the year for such a reading.

LAY EUCHARISTIC VISITORS: These persons have a very unique ministry among our family. They assist the priest by taking the sacrament of Holy Communion directly from our congregational worship to those who are sick or home bound. This is a ministry of uniting the Body of Christ together, both those present at worship and those of our extended family. LEVs assigned for any particular week will try to visit any parishioner who has requested a visit.  Please call Chuck Nemeth, 888-5539, to be scheduled for a visit or if requesting to be placed on a regular visit list, i.e. once a month, every two weeks, etc.

USHERS: Each week a dedicated group of people ensures that everyone receives a warm welcome and assistance in seating for our worship. They also see to it that each person has a bulletin that lists the readings, music, and the Order of Service. These people then assist in collecting the offering and directing people to the altar rail for communion.
