By Grace, a new support group for family members

of Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual people.

 

Discussions include exploration of your feelings when first learning of a

family member’s sexual orientation.  The group intends to provide education,

understanding and support.

 

Learn how to foster improved communication during this difficult time period.

 

By Grace provides a safe and nonjudgmental environment for you to

Voice your concerns and beliefs.

 

Mission Statement

We will strive to move toward acceptance by the will of God.

This group is non-denominational and is open to all beliefs and religions.

 

Confidentiality Policy

By Grace provides a safe place to discuss your issues and share your feelings.

Attendees have the right to expect, and the responsibility to extend, openness

and confidentiality.  Content of meetings is kept strictly confidential.

 

Monthly Meeting

The group will meet on the second Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to Noon.

Admission is free.  Coffee and snacks provided.

 

By Grace will be facilitated by Mary Burt and Gary Conway. Mary is a

graduate of Indiana University and holds a master's degree in counseling.

She is a licensed clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, and

a certified addictions specialist.  Gary holds a Master's Degree in Counseling

from Indiana University and has completed post-graduate work at Butler University

in the Family Therapy Program and at Indiana University in Consultation and

Evaluation.  He is a Nationally Certified Counselor, Nationally Certified School

Counselor, a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and a Licensed Mental

Health Counselor in the State of Indiana.
