St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church

Special meeting

Sunday, February 24, 2008

Present: Chris large, senior warden; Judy Champa; Steve Polston; Kitty Herndon; Liz Manning; Sheryl Otter; Elaine Braverman; John Kurek; Keira Sparrow; and, Jane Bostwick.

Call to order: Chris called the meeting to order and offered a prayer, about 10:35 a.m., following the regular Sunday worship service.

Purpose: Chris said the purpose of the meeting was to elect a junior warden.  She said that Judy Champa and John Kurek were the slated candidates, based on discussion at the February vestry meeting.  She called for further nominations.  John Kurek said that he didn’t have a lot of time to devote to the position.  Sheryl Otter said that she would consent to nomination, which was received by acclamation.  Judy Champa withdrew her nomination.  The vestry accepted Chris’s call to close nominations and acclaimed Sheryl as the junior warden.

Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned about 10:50 a.m.
